20 micron - 8 chambers.
animal semen analysis
the leja 4-chamber slides provides a very good combination between, speed, accuracy, convenience, and cost effectiveness. boar samples do not need to be diluted before analysis. with this one slide, you will be able to measure concentration, motility, and if needed morphology in one go. this saves a lot of time.
see here how much money you can save by switching from a photometer to a casa system with leja slides.
leja offers a couple of very important aspects that are crucial when working with animal sperm:
- defined and constant chamber depth
due to the well defined and constant chamber depth, your concentration measurements will be very accurate, now you loose less semen by producing too concentrated dosis. this will increase your output with an average of 10%! - non-toxic
all leja slides are guaranteed to be non-toxic. we actually test this with boar sperm! how else would you be able to test the motility of your samples correctly? - speed and accuracy
due to 8 chambers per slide, you will be able to process many samples per hour. this safes a lot of time without losing accuracy! imagine what you can do with the left-over time! - cost effectiveness
by increasing the number of chambers per slide, the price per analysis dr-ops.
important note: some casa systems may need some hardware and / or software modifications in order to be able to work with the leja 8-chamber slide. please ask your distributor for advice!

sc-20-01-08-b human semen analysis
for those andrology labs that do many semen analysis a day, the leja 8-chamber slide could also be a solution. this slide has the same quality characteristics of the other leja 20 micron slides, but holds eight chambers. the same accuracy as the improved neubauer is achieved, but with higher precision, without additional dilutions. it saves 30 minutes of a technician"s time per assessment. one slide allows the who method of decision making in accepting or rejecting the concentration figure. the limits of quantification will be 5.000/ml - 200•106/ml (manual assessments).
although viscosity can not be assessed with the 8 chamber slide, the costs per analysis will be the lowest.
this leja slide is very well equipped for manual counting procedures. this slide will fit in almost any casa system (depending on your system, some adaptations may need to be done; please contact your local leja distributor for more information). in one assessment, you will be able to perform both a concentration determination, a motility assessment, and, if needed, a morphological assay.
